Location

Le Cabanon is well situated for the Dordogne valley, with places of note such as Domme, Sarlat, Beynac, Roque Gageac, the Vézère Valley towards Le Bugue and Limeuil, Périgueux and Ribérac to the North, Bastide towns such as Monpazier, Beaumont and Cadouin and the wine trails (route des Vins) around Bergerac. It is also possible to go towards Bordeaux, St Emilion (more very good wine) and even get to the coast for a day at Arcachon, south of Bordeaux.

Or you could stay near the house, shop at the local markets, enjoy the local atmosphere and hospitality and enjoy the view! Even star gazing is great!

Le Cabanon is less than 30 minutes from the airport at Bergerac, with flights to many UK airports with Ryanair and Flybe. Calais, or the Tunnel, is about 12 hours' drive, and Caen and le Havre about 10 hours.
